this. for sure.
you'd do well to stop there
push barman to open....
should i hold fire on that one?
belle and sebastian
ive confused myself, its not hard, i meant to say crooked rain! but i looked on my amazon list, and didnt look hard enough!
crooked rain, crooked rain would be a good start. i got into pavement chronologically, and it was a good way to do it, but crooked rain is probably the most concise and accessible
wins by a nose, cheers people!!
save it for later
If only just to confuse you further.
but you couldnt go wrong starting with crooked rain and brighten the corners either
slanted and enchanted might be a bit hard to get into if you've never listened to them before, and terror twilight is the worst album, thought it does have some tunes on it
I still think 'Terror Twilight' was their best album though really.
which sounds funny if you say it in a northern accent.
Any of the first three 'proper' albums. All great.
I actually think 'Slanted & Enchanted' is a better place to start but I would still recommend Westing to everyone I know, and then punch all those who don't think it is brilliantly right in their obviously defective ears.
Slanted and enchanted - prob their best
Wowee Zowee - very good but probably not the best place to start
Brighten the corners - got some great songs but doesn't hold as well together as an album
Terror twighlight - ok
Westing - experimental nonsense
Because Cut Your Hair and Unfair are ace songs that are very accessible/easy to like.
Enjoy, you're in for a treat...
I think it's a tie between Crooked Rain & S&E on the best one overall. Only Terror Twilight is forgetable.
Also, the special editions of CRCR and WZ are a bit pointless, but the one for S&E is ace!
