they are playing in norwich tonight but i know literally nothing about them. its 4 quid, worth it?
Most obvious reference points are Minus The Bear and At The Drive In, but I think they are still without a vocalist so without singing of course.
For only £4 I would.
and i like ATDI so yeah i think if i can persuade someone im going.
are they just playing instrumental sets now then?
but i just want to add "YES GO".
they are great.
Apart from sounding like Hell Is For Heroes sometimes, they're brilliant.
They're also rather splendid live.
DO IT DO IT DO IT
plus I think they're a bit more stop start than HIFH
where are they on?
do you live far away? on the times ive attempted to see them theres a 50% chance they wont turn up, so..
are named after lines in brilliant films. Well, maybe not Anchorman and Team America, but they could be worse. Although that was Toby's influence so I've no idea if they'll continue with that now.
The Defeat are playing too and they are ace!
although i get the impression they may be splitting up now... certainly seemed that way tonight.
the support were a band called Blakfish. thought they were really good.
saw Blakfish with them in York last week, MMISL were good, but fuck me man, Blakfish were such a lovely surprise, amazing band. i was totally fucked and making a pissing fool of myself, but the members I met were lovely guys too, totally cool. Really great night.
MMISL were sort of a dissapointment, i felt really sorry for them, the guitarist was in tears towards the end and i think its the end for them, Blakfish seem pretty exciting though.
was like a 5 year old on too many smarties
both are fine indeed.
If this is true it's the shittest news I've heard in ages.
blakfish are absolutely amazing live. great band.
But I saw Meet Me In St Louis last week and they were v v v v v dull.
Verging on cringeworthy.
they're playing at barden's boudoir with blakfish on wednesday 6th feb. also with colour and our own devices. please come if you can!
It's a shame about the singer leaving, even though I always thought he was the weak link - now it'll be album 3 before they can actually get comfortable with a line-up and their sound.
And if people are talking about it being the end for them, then I hold not much hope of that :/
Theyre Playing With Blakfish At The George II Today (Tuesday)
And Its Free
or purposely meant to leave out that George II is in Luton :)
not good :(
they were the only good band from Guildford :(
I blame fucktherave
but they seemed like a hard-working band who were passionate about their music; hence, it's a shame.
glad i got to see them once at least. shame it was without toby. this sucks.
saw them twice. they were pretty good both times, but nothing special or original. looking forward to seeing shield your eyes in leeds soonish
putting them on?
Very sad news indeed. Good band and great guys.
W/ Pneu who are real decent as well. I wanted to play too, but we are only doing that Sinaloa show for now.
Sinaloa. some good gigs coming up over the next 2 or 3 months.
I've been listening to Eins Zwei Drei Hasselhoff! so much lately.
I loved this band so much, had the pleasure of becoming good friends with them, it's such a fucking shame. Hopefully they'll all be back with something even bigger and better.
Expect a statement from the band tomorrow
PS. MMISL's album 'Variations On Swing' is now available on 12" clear vinyl with black splatter via www.bsmrocks.com/shop - I don't have many copies so be quick if you want it. Same goes for the Yndi Halda 'Enjoy Eternal Bliss' EP which is also available on 12" now.
after i imported it from Germany?
I've been meaning to start selling copies for ages and only just got around to it this week. Bad timing, eh?
This is utter bollocks :(
and expensive dental treatment to pay for, expect a cheque for the Yndi Halda vinyl soon!
I need to sort myself out first
in keeping the spirit up and forming a MMISL tribute band? i'll be kazooist.
check it. i read it in a bulletin. suppose to go see them in dalston tonight. anyone know if its still going on??
fuck its such a shame. yet another awesome post-hardcore band from the uk bites the dust, leaving us to be ravaged by monotomous indie...
IAN MACKAYE HEAR ME...SAVE US ALL!!!
but MMISL won't be playing
Ignore me, tonight is off, I was going by old information
i'm gonna listen to variations on swing on repeat now.
also 'and with the right kind of eyes' :(
everybody do it, now!
please don't wake up, don't wake up, don't wake up!
this is so good :(
Someone sing to me...
