actually pretty/reasonably decent?
something very warm and friendly about it. makes me feel nice.
aurally pleases me
do you listen to his sunday best show from 1-2 (or till 4 if your up for all night disco party), he has such varied and interesting guests on, and his '2hours of minimal techno' was superb, last weekend when he had adele and laura marley was thorought enjoyable too.
I've quite warmed to colin murrary recently as well
they become idiots once they move, see Annie Mac, total sell out (Breaks DJ my arse).
and he played the hold steady, young knives and justice.
Lamacq is far far better on 6 music these days. His time of finding 'new music' has passed. Stephens is good.
but Murray is a lot better, than, say, george fucking lamb, and if 6music want a celebrity dj in the daytime i'd prefer him.
but it seemed a bit more 'marketed' towards the 'target demographic' or whatever. i maintain that the show he did between the Evening Session being axed and Zane Lowe being paid a lot of money to take over was pretty good. He even had Mclusky in to play live, which nobody beyond Peelie would've done.
and requested a song when he was DJing at the Barfly, just so I could talk to him, then I left straight after!
It's like a bunch of 18 year old's have been let loose on the student's union jukebox. He should stick to football.
on Radio 5, erm, Fighting Talk's great and he presents that. I remember enjoying his brief stint in the evening session before (possibly?) Zane Lowe started in it
I'd forgotten how good this is. final verdict: quite good.
his voice however makes me want to leave radio 1's catchment area. (ie. the earth)
but he spends too much time playing 'comedy' sound clips from Family Guy or whatever.
I caught a bit of his interview with Chris Rock the other week, that was quite good.
