Obviously Brian Wilson is brilliant, but I think Carl does it for me.
He's wonderful. I wish I had his voice.
Dennis- Pacific Ocean Blue.
Mike Love. No question
met Brian Wilson in a bar in Brussels, whilst on a school trip. From talking to him, its hard to imagine that voice coming from him. Agree with pacific ocean blue also.
but they all sang spectacularly well.
Special mention to Al Jardine who is an awesome singer (see Help Me Rhonda and Cotton Fields for proof).
Also Brian Wilson's falsetto - Shit me, it's good!
The midget one.
was mainly relegated to joint lead like on Breakaway, Add Some Music, Time To Get Alone, Vegetables, and California Saga off the top of my head.
He took lead vocals on Then I Kissed Her, the above 2 and not much else of any note. Weird cos he had a great soulful 60's voice.
is the only post beach boys album i care about.
Al Jardine is probably my favourite in terms of vocals though.
i was just reading the post about Al Jardine while i was typing it and got confused.
i have a soft spot for bruce johnston actually
due to people using it like that.
plus his show at glasto a few years back was awesome. even if he was clearly in a right state
Mike and Brian are also ace
seriously, this is a crime against humanity. how *anyone* can take these jackoffs seriously is beyond me.
without most of the original line-up....
Mike Love was king.
