"second rate arcade fire".
No they're not. Not that I'm refusing to discuss.
In very much the same way the Arctic Monkeys are a Interpol tribute band.
Klaxons are entirely ripping off Mercury Rev's entire back catalogue.
And Foals are a poor man's Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
but the Arcade Fire comparison isn't too far off the mark
blaah blah Lamb is such a cunt he knows nothing about music lol
should shoot himself
thats all very stupid.
The first two albums are rather eccentric and individual (more so the first).
Indeed, get the bozo off 6music!!
Also, BSP were around a fair while before the afore mentioned canadians, no?
Arcade Fire are a second rate Arcade Fire.
came out two years before funeral was released in the uk
And they are far better lyrically
And their new album sounds way more like Galaxie 500, Echo & the Bunnymen and Julian Cope than the Arcade Fire anyway...
and that's pretty much it. Their last album was nothing like Arcade Fire. Their first one does have a slight similarity I suppose, but then it was released before Funeral.
What a gimp.
Ignorance is bliss in this instance.
Discuss, with reference to BSP having a session on Lamb's own radio station this evening.
than arcarde fire, they are more dynamic! though when i first heard 'no lucifer' i did think it was very arcade fire indeed..
he broke my heart. the bastard :(
BUT does anyone have a single of example of an online petition ever succeeding, ever?
Cadbury's brought it back (albeit for a limited period) becaus eof demand from a facebook group. Businesses are starting to take the internet 'voice' a bit more seriously.
Funeral>Decline>DYLRM>Open Season>Neon Bible
they aren't even like the arcade fire. arghhhhh.
simply "Arcade Fire", right?
i'm tired stop being pedantic :(
i mean, i wanted to kill him when he ruined the broadcasting of an acoustic Clap Your Hands Say Yeah session by going "That was clap your hands say poor mans bob dylan"
its so unprofessional to slag off the music you play. Even students on radio don't do that!!! What the fuck!
I think it's good for DJs to slag off the music they have to play. More honesty is welcome even if it's George Lamb.
Then it's better for him to say so than be all nicey nicey and pretend he likes it surely?
I hate DJs that pretend to like everything.
Apart from the fact that you can tell DYLRM was produced by the same guy who did Funeral, they're not really that similar. However, for my money, I'd take AF over BSP any day- although I'll give that BSP are better lyricists.
