Cracking little tune that.
I actually have no problem with the enemy's music; compared to scouting for girls or the hoosiers, I actually enjoy them immensely when they come on the radio.
"we'll live and die in these towns" is genuinely pretty good.
But they write pretty good pop songs.
(if you'll remember, my argument against kate nash wasn't that i didnt consider her to be artistic, just she shouldnt be considered in an artistic context, Before you get all "YOU SAID A THING ONCE SO NOW YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO LISTEN TO THE RADIO FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU)
looking thing though the singer, isn't he
heard a cracking remix of one their songs the other night
its The Jam that sing that...
i do like some The Enemy songs though after being forced to repeatedly listen to them.
into liking the sunshine underground that way. the jokes on them though because...i still secretly dislike them. result.
I like them because they write some good songs and they aren't The View or The Fratellis.
and the album's got some good guitar pop on. Perfect if you want to listen to something pretty simple.
It's not helped by the fact that the lead singer looks like a sad, wet fish
The fact that they can sell out however many nights at the Brixton Academy is kinda conclusive proof for me that the proper money really is in live events now
no talent, no sex appeal and lacking the ability to even pick good songs to rip off can make it in the world.
Well done for taking a quite obviously jovial remark entirely seriously!
You seem like a whole bunch of fun
in that too many people bring up the singer's looks when talking about The Enemy. It's just not cool
and sadly, the music business is based a great deal on how you look
and now all the kids in the playground start singing the enemy's songs at you. That wouldn't be cool.
i resent the fact he can playing nothing other than a 2 note powerchord.
who come across so badly in interviews it's really hard to be objective about their music.
I'm listening to it now out of curiosity. It's a decent enough song. Now if the lead singer could only refuse to speak to the press...
I shouldn't like them. But I can't stop listening to Fear Killed The Youth..... Great tune. And their commitment to Love Music Hate Racism is somewhat redeeming.
