My money is on Shellac - 1000 Hurts.
Hatebreed: The Rise of Brutality
but EYEWTKAS by Glassjaw springs to mind as being very fucking angry indeed
that springs to mind any time anyone says 'angry'.
that would fit in here somewhere.
Screwdriver being one of them. Awful, awful band.
by black flag.
Two Nuns and a Pack Mule is Albini's angriest hour
Big Black - Songs About Fucking
Jesus Lizard - Goat
... is grumpy, not angry.
articles of faith - give thanks.
anything by black flag just about.
They are soooo angry. Alot of harsh noise albums are pretty angry. Try Slogun, Grunt, Sudden Infant etc...
End of thread
hahahahaha. so true.
thanks for reminding me!
i thought it was more of a shambles than being angry. The reception ATR got when they played was nothing but boo's and jeers from goths who wanted to see the Reznor circus
it's Pinkerton by Weezer?????? Dweeb pain. Shellac is manufactured anger, Weezer were just plain heartbroken/hurting/wailing on lesbians/furious etc. Lol.
Minor Threat - Complete Discography
Anything by Negative Approach
would be The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me by Brand New.
Only time a "yeah" has sounded more like a serial killer getting off from ripping out toenails than a non decript way of going into a chorus
But I decided I didn't think its angry enough lyrically. Despondent, disenchanted, painfully self-aware and reflective maybe but not angry
the mewithoutyou record with 'gentlemen' on is a bit scary, you do listen and worry for the guy's throat and wellbeing, poor chicken...
TV Shit by Sonic Youth and Yakamatsu Eye needs a mention, it's... just... screaming...
beaster by sugar.
by pantera is certainly pissed off about something
Straight Outta Compton's pretty angry, too.
is associated with is pretty angry. Background Music by Give Up The Ghost is a good example.
Erased from the Memory of Man by the defiantly miffed Watchmaker, or Anaal Nathrakh's misanthropic masterpiece, Domine Non Es Dignus.
A lot of it seems more than a little contrived to my ears, especially the generic unfocussed rage.
I'm distrusting of mature bands making angry music for teenagers - seems cynical in the extreme to me.
"I'm ALSO distrusting of mature bands making angry music for teenagers - seems cynical in the extreme to me" unless people think I'm suggesting all angry music fits this bill.
I wouldn't suggest all 'angry' bands fit the bill, although I can see where you are coming from, especially in the current climate of pop-metal bands preaching to the hordes of eye-liner wearing, tight jeaned hipsters after a quick fix of commercial angest. There is many a group, especially on the punk/grindcore/hardcore end of the spectrum, though, who write angry and intelligent music with a genuine message.
whichever album 'just like a cunt' is on
I would say Dungeness by NCF
i bought it because id heard good things about it but i just cant listen to it.
