Thought this was about some gig dilemma or something. :(
*searches on hypem for the collaboration they did*
with each other quite a bit, and they sound quite similar.
>>> tv on the radio
For hero: for fool wins, probably, due to its sheer scope, "feel", instrumentation and mind blowing-ness.
Though RTCM is also amazingly instrumented and has better songwriting in terms of "songs".
Will I be let down by subtles other stuff? Does it compare?
Is desperate youth... better?
and young liars.
GET young liars. its perfect
Rest is brilliant too. Or an a capella Pixies cover, but I'll leave that one well alone.
i love every single thing apart from that they've released though.
i just re-read what was written up there and went to my itunes and realised that young liars is the EP with staring at the sun...
i don't like ok calculator, i like young liars!
i need to concentrate and not do essays whilst posting! crisis averted, sorry guys :)
Ending of a Show and Say You Do are good though.
ive not listened to TVOTR since I saw them live in... whenever the tour was where they came to glasgow. They were great though a little underwhelming.
I REALLY want to see subtle live.
couldave just been the venue, though. I don't think this particular one is renowned for its sound quality.
Also, that night I was pretty up for a dance and stuff, but the crowd only got into it quite late on so I didnt achieve maximum dance enjoyment, so left feeling unaccomplished. Was a shame, but they were still brilliant.
it was probably cos i knew all of tvotr's songs backwards, and only half listened to a couple of subtle songs
For Hero:For Fool is a classic, obviously, best album of the past decade, but also, the first three songs on the new remix album are all brilliant too. The TV On The Radio one rules but maybe doesn't use Tunde as well as Dan Boeckner on 'Middleclass Haunt', which btw is a classic, as is 'Falling' (with Why?).
Sounds like I've foolishly, inexplicably overlooked these...
Which album should I start with? Been listening on YouTube but tbh don't know how I'll get on with the fast-rap vocals.
For the record, TVOTR Look Cooler.
It's unbelievable. My "album of 2006" changes between it and Ys, depending on my mood.
as they are both amazing. Subtle's previous album ' a new white' is also phenomenal.
it would be good if every song wasnt 2 years long.
