hi all i have started up a campian on facebook to get malcom middleton xmas number and beat x factor winner
this song is a protest agesint x factor geting this song to number 1 would be the best way to prove somthing to simon cowel
fristly that people are stick of crappy covers and one hit wonders
Everybody's so sick of X Factor winners that Leona Lewis and Shayne Ward are currently 1 and 2 on the album chart, a mile ahead of plenty of commercially strong competition.
what with you attempting to rig the charts to give a false impression of popularity, etc.
Exactly. If you acknowledge that Simon Cowell or the 'music' he brings out even exists then he wins.
but in this context he's just another fucker with a smart publicity campaign (albeit the publicity of claiming to be anti-popilist).
Within this context getting Aidan Moffatt to number one would be every bit as contrived and gimmicky as the X Factor winner. I really hate this kind of fake stage-managed rebellion.
See - I can't even remember which one's singing the fucking thing!
To be fair, Middleton seems to have been caught up in this with little of his own making - he went with a 17th December release date because he might as well, and then Colin Bloody Murray picked up on it and cajoled most of daytime Radio 1 to follow suit. As I've said before, the idea of an ironic campaign based around Malcolm Middleton is baffling.
Altbough I can see how my post might have suggested I did.
Bloody hell! It's only a bit of fun! It will be funny cos most people in the country will not know who Malcolm Middleton is
