What are Little death and the nova saints like?
if it'll be worth going to see them with school of language in newcastle.
it's only £6 but the venue is a horrible place for getting home afterwards.
at the legion. but i think i will do both gigs.
d'you know what time they're on? Sonic Cathedral gigs tend to be quite late affairs
or so ago at The Luminaire. They're ok live. Nothing special.
damned by faint praise.
i caught them at SCL's night at the water rats earlier in the year and really enjoyed them... so i popped em on with the twilight sad tonight.
i really liked what ive heard of nova saints so far and they come highly recommended by several bands we've had on, along with the nottingham dis guys.
asobi + twilight sad + little death in one night = winner
I enjoyed Little Death too.
first time seeing Twilight Sad last night for me, and I was really impressed. amazing live band...
they removed 'last year's rain...' from their setlist that doesn't work as well live and played 'Cold Days From The Birdhouse' and 'Mapped By What Surrounded Them' for the first time and they both sounded superb. I love this band.
the set was pretty much perfect. always good when a band doesnt do an encore cos they've run out of songs!
they sounded gargantuan.
i badly wanted to yell 'SEINFELD!' when mateyboy started doing slap-bass.
little death sounded great too, the sound in that room really worked for them.
and really clear. It was incredibly loud but I didn't feel like I needed my earplugs in and my ears were fine afterwards. Good work Hoxton Bar & Kitchen. Oh and Robin. And me for finally getting my arse in gear and going to a gig.
