and I bet everyone else does too:
But I wouldn't trade it for my Burns...
new or old burns?
That pacman guitar must weight a tonne
The new version of the Burns Sonic (I know, ego much?)...
On the right pickup settings it really is sweet as a nut though...
cool...I'm pretty much obsessed with Burns guitars, and much as I love the old ones, I tried one of the new reissue 12 strings, and it felt a lot better than the original one in the same shop!
Great looking guitars and great pickups.
Speaking of pickups- I can't be bothered to start another thread, but I just bought this for £25
nice pair of early sixties nos british Fenton Weill pickups. They came wrapped in a sheet of daily mirro from 1964!
Is that... a Mosrite scratchplate they're attached to?
nah- that's 100% British engineering :)
dang right- these are sort of precursors to Burns Trisonics...designed by Jim Burns in the late fifties when he was half of Burns/Weill, and the design carried on by Fenton Weill til about 64/65.
They are LOUD
it's hideously brilliant!
that's fantasitc, room for a myriad pickups!
playing with a beachball under your armpit or something...!
I just got a fender cyclone HH, it's not a crazy shape or anything but it's lovely...
Black is the only colour for one of those things as far as I know...
it looks like a novelty clock!
