where to start, where to look further.
Deceit! One of the best albums of the 80s, easy. Its all amazing- really, really essential for such an obscure album. Best song is 'Sleep', though, btw, at least for instant accessibility.
ill be popping by RT east soon. will they have it there you think?
It was out re-mastered recently.
This Heat for instant accessibility?;~)
Deceit is thoroughly amazing. I love it. The guitar work is unusual and excellent.
OK, maybe not the best turn of phrase...
Tago Mago and Ege Bamyasi
Also, see if someone will give you the link to the PDF of Julian Cope's book Krautrocksampler (i'm looking at you tom_from_sparks)
thats got vitamin c..oh i like to dance to that.
Well I saw, mushroom head,
I was born and I was... dead.
monster movie, ege bamyasi, tago mago and future days are all phenomenal albums. so good. i've always meant to check out soon over babaluma too, because it sounds so exotic. and i REALLY need to get around to listening to this heat ....
but lacks focus a bit. The latin and reggae influences won't be to everyone's taste either. Get Soundtracks or Unlimited Edition instead.
Like others have said start with Tago Mago and Ege Bamyasi and if you like them then get Monster Movie and Future Days.
that's pretty good, although i've not gave it much time.
as for this heat, get whatever has Horizontal Hold on it. I like that song.
