on jefferson airplane - surrealistic pillow, i absoluteley adore 'Today', but the rest i can take or leave.
The Best of Scatman John
Castiotone - Etiquette
but I don't think I've really given it enough of a chance.
has one standout, it's pretty solid.
is about 15x as good as the rest?
not to say it isn't a good record. 'cause it is.
the first 3 songs are a million miles better than the rest of it. I freaking love New Year's Kiss.
drones - gala mill
now post, post no. 6,800 :D
(juicebox is brilliant - the rest i don't think I've ever listened to...)
is probably the best song theyve ever written
Harrowdown Hill is excellent - I can't remember how any of the other songs go at all.
or are you done :D
77 times 7 is all you need from that lp.
good tracks on that one. But it did mark the beginning of Clutch's descent into not very good.
Robot Hive/Exodus has two good songs :(
The first 6 tracks on First Impressions... are some of their best...
sorry that's not really that funny and it isn't an album.
but the Oneida version of Every Day Is A Child With Teeth just makes every other track on the release redundant, it stands out that much.
Atheists, Reconsider, of course
I thought of Bows and Arrows by The Walkman but two people have already put that.
the first track on b&a is absolutely class.
fuk da h8rzzzz
I fucking love that record.
In a bad way.
Dead Cowboy! - easily the one track that really stands out.
blinding album but Dead Cowboy is just something else!
The rest of the album's good, but not anything on that song imo
Midlake - Van Occupanther (Roscoe is miles better than anything else on it.)
That Band Of Horses album (Funeral > the rest)
Giant Drag - Kevin Is Gay
DFA1979 - Black History Month
this is just off the top of my head, and I'm not saying the rest of these albums are rubbish...
definitely right about Midlake
thought of Bows & Arrows but I'll go with
Be He Me - Annuals
I love that song but when I saw them supporting the National, none of their others were in the same league.
yeah i meant brother/track 1 of teh album!
its all downhill after the end of track 3
wrong about DFA1979'
you utter twatfarm.
Black History Month is possibly the weakest song
And he's off the mark on Midlake as well. Roscoe is the best (obvs) but the rest of the first half contains some absolute gems. The second half is definitely lacking though
Serpent Sky is amazing. The rest...meh..
the first single off it.
The Good The Bad and the Queen - Herculean
The Coral, Magic and Medicine - Secret Kiss
Blonde Redhead - 23
you fool. Dr. Strangeluv and Spring And By Summer Fall are easily as good, if not better in the latter's case.
And Top Ranking is amazing.
The rest is sub-par.
pistols at dawn, good sir?
They got SO much press for basically one amazing song. The rest is nice enough if it's raining.
MODEST MOUSE - We Were Dead (Spitting Venom)
Trains to Brazil is probably top5 singles of this decade for me, and Made Up Love Song is nice, but I just van't get into the rest.
I think Muse had one good song on Showbiz but I can't recall title that either.
some loud thunder by cyhsy?
But 'Somebody To Love', '3/5 of a Mile in 10 Seconds', 'White Rabbit' and 'Plastic Fantastic Lover' are all so much better. In fact the whole of 'Surrealistic Pillow' amazing. Re-listen Summers!
I bought the album on the strength of Open Your Heart. The rest of it is total shite.
that Hurricane #1 album?
But that's like one 10/10 track compared to the rest being 8/10 or so.
It's still a solid record. I prefer Chutes though.
Caring Is Creepy
One By One All Day
Girl On The Wing
Know Your Onion
The Celibate Life
All great songs!
The rest of the album is just one huge build up to 'Double Lock Your Mind'.
Cause it's only one track...
