"The music business desperately, desperately needs to invent new formats; the CD is an antique, it's 20 years old."
he's totally hit the nail on the head there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so really its a 5" record with a cd stuck on the back? sexy
er, what about mp3's? and ringtones (though im not sure this actually counts, but they seem to be selling enough of them). But what the fuck? really. i despair.
the only problem is they don't know how many fightstar fans have record players... for a format that is, what, nearly fifty years old...? There are so many self contradictions about this it's unbelievable...
shit, it really isn't is it?
The Rumble Strips do this aaaaages ago?
it's people like him that are killing the music ind- <abandon post>
it's the lack of new formats. didn't you read the article?!?
I get the patent on my digital injection device, you get the song digitally injected by stabbing a needle into the base of someone's skull and the song plays in their head until their brain explodes. Aimed at a specific target audience as you can imagine....
I was going to post the exact same quote. What I'd do to have those sort of credits!
team gordon the gopher up with radiohead...
the whole in the middle of a cd and the hole in the middle of a vinyl are not the same size - how will this work?
how will the vinyl layer affect the thickness of the cd? will this not cause playback issues?
Assuming the thickness is somehow unchanged will putting the cd into a slot-loading drive not immediately scratch the hell out of the vinyl?
Why the fuck would anyone buy a fightstar record?
kerrang love fuckstar beyond all reasonable journalistic duty, methinks some Busted dollar bills found their way into a press pack...
I assume there's a little adaptor thing for the vinyl thing, but the rest, er, yes you'd assume the top would be scratched by the, er, cd stopping bit...
