Now there was a band.
I've had 'Snow White' in my head all day.
Get The Keys And Go.
they ever released. i also own a Llama Farmers tshirt which i wear regularly.
the bassist girl never smiled. EVER.
called Letters. The bassist smiled after the gig when talking to someone next to the stage. I saw her with my own eyes.
i remember going to see them at black heath halls the weekend i turned 18. Awesome gig.
i saw their bass player in a pub in new cross a few months ago. she is hot. thought about trying it on and decided i wasn't worthy.
'hmmm she was kinda cute then, but now? well she'd be fucking old!'
'hey wait, wasn't i about 15 at the time, and they only about 17?'
'i am now OLD'
she has lost the grunge apparral and was all dressed up like a lady and stuff. she is only what, 27 or 28? maybe younger.
26 or lower. Her brothers 28 now.
when the first record came out.
That she might be gay. I've seen her around with her girlfriend.
she's probably reading this.
Er..I live in greenwich to?
They had the monopoly on waltz-rock. I even drove all the way to Derby to see them.
how i loved them. how very much i loved them.
and will is one of the nicest people ever.
memories of the Harlow Square,i too liked the bassist as well !
i saw Biffy Clyro support these guys
the fact they outlasted aereogramme makes me sad :(
new bands stage, reading 2001, before At The Drive-In. happy days.
i think chrissy alcocks was too
-100000 indie points summers.
That was their final tour! I even saw their final gig but I didn't have a clue at the time.
Joined Llama Farmers when I was 15... Using my brothers user name by the way, haven't had sex change. Come and see Letters play, I promise to smile...
Jamie Summers, witness the teeth.
see! a myth!
and Always echoes.
Never got the second album (just a couple of its singles.
This will be rectified next pay day
No, no, no. Find Letter's MySpace page. About the 6th photo down. Jennie smiling. Have some of that.
THink I'll listen to their albums tonight !
Or maybe just the singles !
might have to slap it onto the Ipod
and I have 12 downloads left
El Toppo is mine.
I only heard two songs by them one on a melody maker free cd, can't remember title but it had the shittest lyrics ever, 'he's not scared, he's not scared, dyes his hair, like he, just don't care, he's gonna drown etc'delivered in a fake yank accent with no originality in music at all, and another called Jessica which was a bit better but a whole load of nothing really, when I heard first I was incredulous they were being bigged up by nme as bright new hopes
but you seems to be missing the point.
Bands like Llama Farmers, Seafoof, Symposium, Midget, Gel... weren't about sounding new or cool. Just kids playing the music they wanted while having fun ( and great fun they were ! ). Compare that to now with all the kids that want to be the new Libertines or Arctic Monkeys !
I've dug my old singles. Paper eyes / P.V.C / Empty head... No one has single that good anymore !
Symposium was one of my firstish gigs at Bradford Uni, I enjoyed it so much I half broke my ankle, it was ace, that 1st album or is ep is damn good, ditto Bis, Kenickie.
Yeah I agree, there was less studied cool and crap about
Mr Wojtek Godzisz is still making some very fine music indeed. You can find his new pop videos on youtube.
but I haven't heard ice lungs. Any chance of getting an mp3?
I didn't buy the album because that wasn't on it. I have a bunch of singles, including Paper Eyes twice.
