Let's talk about...
the Most Serene Republic !
At first listen, new album is a real progression. More coherent and interesting than the first one !

hahah
In my head the thread did end with "sex baby, let's talk about you and me".
my favourite radiohead album is Kid A
I thought of it too!
but than I saw it was Lyle. I can't imagine him listening to Salt 'n Pepa. Or maybe as an artistic statement against radiohead :-D
or maybe....
..he posted it in the wrong forum, and was going to ask about DISsers sexual habits.
I don't make artistic statement.
But if I had to choose between Radiohead and Salt & Peppa, I'm not sure I would choose Radiohead...
I tried
I really tried to like their first record. but no.
Sorry Lyle.
In all seriousness. I really enjoyed their first album, and when the EP dropped it was quite interesting as it felt like they were going in strange new directions. A year or two pass, and this new album comes out. I heard it, and thought it was okay, but as a fickle music listener my ears had already moved on to other appealing sounds. I don't think they are a bad band at all, but they certainly don't interest me as much now, than they did when Underwater Cinematographer came out. However, this could pretty much be applied to most indie-rock bands at the minute, as I'm just not really enjoying them as much as I used to :S
I can see your point.
This still sound like a band that don't really know where it wants to go.
But there's some really good songs on the album and I can imagine them releasing a really great album someday.
