but I think it's one of their better songs. I like it.
Radio 1. Forgotten how much i liked it.
then they bought a one way ticket to blandsville via U2town.
it's better than yellow.
I adore them :D
brilliant album. Couldn't be arsed with them after that, though
all the songs on the brothers & sisters single are better !
it on the radio made me remember how much i loved it.
Incredibly sophisticated composition skills and a beautiful melody.
See you soon is another one of their great songs. They went crap on that last album.
One of their grand total of four "s'okay" songs from their entire career. (Clocks, In My PLace, Yellow)
literally. and i dont even mind coldplay at all.
is an odd choice.
its incredibly formulaic and the lyrics appear to have been written by a 3 year old with 'my first rhyming dictionary'
please justify your choice.
I had those four, too. Neither of us get any points. :(
had you pegged as tolerating coldplay.
I will take your vitrilioc threads against mainstream indie slightly less seriously from now on.
I don't have any problem with mainstream indie.
I have massive problems with lazy and derivative music.
Incredible song. That whole album is infact brilliant. It's a shame they've went so far downhill since
a ridiculous jeff buckley rip off
apparently chris martin likes orchid
much more coherent sturcture than most buckley songs.
Hmmmm, dividing opinion.
I also think that the scientist and fix you are good songs. Basically, one per album.
thats a good song
that's not a good song
better than Swallowed By The Sea. Which has to be some kind of nadir, at least lyrically.
some good songs, some real shit tho
but the rest of Rush Of Blood... is really good!
Especially God Put A Smile On Your Face. With its TERRIFYING VIDEO, where the businessman starts disappearing limb by limb.
In fact, pretty much all of their videos are good, even when the songs they're promoting aren't. Well done.
though it did remind me a lot of Radiohead at the time
along with 'Spies'.
"And it's you I hear, so loud and so clear
"I sing it loooooooooud and cleeeee-eee-eear..."
Wonderful song - makes you realise how much talent Chris Martin's squandering for the sake of safe, predictable hits. Which is a shame.
but the only one i like on the first album.
rush of blood to the head is much better. I'm suprised that the consensue on the board seems to be that colplay have got 'safer' as time has gone on. I think the first album is exteremly generic, ehilst their other stuff isn't exactly godspeed, it is a bit more ambitious?
and I think the 1st two albums were class. Anything after that is just poojab
shiver is a beautful song..i used to swoon every time i heard it.
And I'd totally do his wife.
