Most people on here will tell you it's terrible
And there's no denying that the main room gets RIDICULOUSLY crowded during headline sets (as it no doubt will with Erol). But in terms of lineups, you can't really beat it
But in the ten times or so that I've been I've never had a bad night
It's sort of designed so you have to take drugs to have a good time.
The drinks are stupidly expensive and you have to queue for so long you're by the time you get in.
Also there's the fact that its fucking massive and Erol isn't that good a DJ.
Drugs are fun sometimes.
But other times its nice to just enjoy the music and have a little dance and not feel like death the next day.
I think it's a stupid myth that you need drugs to enjoy techno/dance music. I sit in my room perfectly sober bopping to Ricardo Villalobos.
You'll only ever appreciate Sasha if you're E'd up
haha
it's true in terms of fabric though
you need SOMETHING to fuel the dancing
and the drink is so ludicrously priced
that only tourists and the indie kids
now getting into techno/electro actually
buy them and the rest are either on drugs
or frantically trying to acquire drugs.
dont get me wrong I am/was one of the latter,
not that I'm E'd off my tits all the time now, but my point is...I've forgotten
by latter I meant
indie kid just getting into electro
aye
To be honest, for people to 'look down' on people dabbling in drugs whilst in a place like Fabric is a little silly
There's a time and a place for certain drugs, and Fabric most definitely fits both categories
I'm
um
washing some .. hand tools. Or something.
