Can anyone think of any??
I think 'talking to a brick wall' is a good one of theirs.
dont forget "The Lake". "Music Box".... not so romantically but still.
some of Graham Coxons early solo stuff has this also... namely "Lake" and "That's All I Wanna Do" which is possibly the best song hes done...
A lot of their sonmgs start quietly and then kick into a huge wall of guitars.
starts so pretty and then ends up being his heaviest song
but New Born by Muse was the first thing to spring into my head.
All twinkling piano for the first minute or whatever, then that massive riff comes in. ahhhhh
Only about 50. It being really common and that.
You've done it again!
there is no contract you have to sign when you sign up to DIS saying
" I must always start incredibly witty, philisophical and pioneering threads, otherwise i will be forced to eat my own feet and listen to the greatest hits of shed 7 on loop for 6 days"
Everyones been really helpful.
Im looking for a track to use on TV, i have about 10 minutes to find it. Im aware that there a lots of songs that have quiet loud, however, i'm interested in other peoples opinions, being like human and y'know sociable!
I could just pick bloody razorlight again but then you'd moan about that as well... i can't win...
they were the first band i ever saw live in Virgin in Reading in march 1995
So Real, Dream Brother, Grace, What Will You Say...
It's hardly "Heavy" like Heavy Metal, but you know.
Slint ... Breadcrumb Trail, Washer, Good Morning Captain ...
Up In Arms by Foo Fighters
Something In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins
Didnt really have time to burn them much off. Think they went for TCTC or Biffly Clyro in the end.
some Biffy song that does this.
Porcelain Hearts and Hammers for Teeth
off of The Real Thing does exactly this. All nice classical-ish guitar and romantic lyrics, then they bring the ROCK.
twilight sad-she would darken the memory, or the first track from the album
mono-gone(especially this), flames beyond, halo, most other tracks
art of fighting-two rivers (not big heavy)
oceansize-women who love men who love drugs
Pretty much, Sika Redem!
TO BE HEROIC
