was a great gig. Danced like a tit, but had a ball. Poor turn out at the Underworld, I think this band will get bigger!
and still I didn't meet you. For shame.
I adore Chin Up Chin Up, I really do. Last night's shambolic stage time/support bands cancelling thing isn't the best background to fall in love with a band, but I totally did.
I even bought a shit green t-shirt I'm never going to wear to show my love.
Chin Up Chin Up are fucking fantastic. It's the same sort of inner-chest-pounding-excitement feeling I got the first time I saw/heard Tapes n' Tapes.
they were ace and happy.
I was surprised quite how empty the place was, but Chin Up Chin Up put on a great show regardless. Really friendly, gracious guys, fantastic set, small but dedicated audience. Lovely stuff, I hope they come back soon.
I've decided I might just give up my job and follow them round on tour or something.
they're rather nice. Like a more angry driven version of The Shins.
i couldn't make it in the end, they better come back soon.
I might end up going a bit doolally about them I think.
Seriously, WORLD, do yourself a favour and listen to them? Thanks.
Last time a thread was made about them, no one replied except me :(
Copy Haho and Held By Hands are fantastic as well!
glad people have said they're great live, i've only just gotten into them, but This Harness Can't Ride Anything is awesome. where's the best place to go next record-wise?
Most of the songs on the self-titled debut EP are repeated on "We Should Have Never Lived Like We Were Skyscrapers", so I'd probably get the latter and ignore the former unless you really need to complete the collection.
ace gig. smallest turn out ever at underworld maybe!?
I couldn't quite believe it to be honest. Oh well. I still enjoyed it!
I'm wearing the t-shirt I bought there today. It's very...green.
get there early. there is a special last minute addition to the lineup, who are going to be opening the gig at 8pm
members of Held By Hands playing ace indie-tastic music that sounds like Rockets and Bluelights, Tiny Hawks and Boilermaker
were like 100,000 times better. Well 100,000 times better then how Hannah described Chin Up Chin Up.
when statistics played in 2005. it was.. not... good. at all.
tomorrow with held by hands. I can't wait. Should be a really cool gig.
They have a profile so... rate ?
that half the people there post on this msgboard.
I'm the bassist, or something.
Chin Up Chin Up were really good, but i think i preffered Shitalker and Copy Haho on the night, both were awesome
I loved Chin Up. Brudenell was perfect for them.
until held by hands finished, then alot of people left.
by the end of the chin up chin up set there was only about 20-30 people, including bands
a bit disapointing really
I reckon there must've been at least 30 there...
Although I may have been wrong...
Didn't they say something about Tarantino being at the London date? :S
chin up chin up were great as well. good stuff.
the guitarist snapped a string, so the keyboardist was chatting about how quentin tarantino was at their liverpool show the night before.
then on jonathan ross last night, tarantino was talking about how much of an awesome time he'd had in liverpool
in the same club we played at, as opposed to at the show! Still, reasonably good story..
still cool as fuck, really.
why the hell was tarantino in liverpool of all places?!
