Best packaging ever !
Haven't had the time to listen to everything yes, but it's good !:
Has Molina given up on the trad rock direction and gone back to what he's best at?
and nearly all of the second.
What I've listened of the boxset is maybe more like his 2 solo albums...
But there is 3 albums, one EP and one DVD in it...
I hadn't heard about this and assumed it was a new album. I stopped paying attention after What Comes After The Blues. It was like Didn't It Rain never happened.
just not really an album...
Go straight for the studio version of 'Nashville Moon' and then work your way around the box from there.
This is my ideal boxset.
this will be waiting for me when i get home tonight. I don't think Molina has made a truly great record since the MECo album but he still has plenty of flashes of brilliance.
'what comes after the blues' is very good, imho.
sounds very Songs : Ohiaish...
I think I will buy this.
But maybe 'Didn't it rain'.
also, his solo album 'let me go let me go let me go' is haunting and beautiful.
get it all!
I'd work your way backwads. It's methodical and a bit of a boring way to do it, but every mec and so (and solo) is rewarding in it's own way, and molina is known for putting some of his 'better' songs on odd releases (like division st girl and nashville moon) on hard-to-get releases.
Having said that, 'The Lionness' recorded with Arab Strap and Alasdair Roberts in Scotland, is a little different and little bit awesome. They even used ' Coxcomb Red' on an episode of One Tree Hill. THAT good!
Its beautiful. Easily in my top 10 albums ever.
let me go x3 is beautiful !
