This comes out tomorrow.
I heard Nicoman in a club. It is HOT and super pop.
I am excited!
the vocals on Nicoman are too clear and lack the mystery that made them so great before, and it comes across as a bit too self-consciously 'pop'. they didn't need to make a song like this, really. it has its moments, but as a whole it's frustrating.
Oxygen Demo Riddim just ain't very good, really. it sounds like the soundtrack to a pretty bad Megadrive game for the most part. bit cheap, and totally uninteresting.
The Earthquake That Frees Prisoners gets better as it goes along, but for the first 5 minutes it sounds like an outtake from God's Money. The latter half of it makes me want them to put an LP out pretty sharpish, it's really great.
This could've been much, much better and after waiting so long for it it mostly sounds like they just knocked it out in a couple of days.
Oxygen Demo Riddim just sounds like a poor demo, it doesn't really go anywhere.
Nicoman is a really good song but i'm not really like the production. It's all a bit too clear and clean, also the drums sound kinda tinny. It needs to sound more murky.
The 8 minute track is the best, it takes a while to get going but it's amazing when it does, I love the bassline.
