but for Malc mainly, I know nothing about Maps.
maps are pretty boring
This isn't an anti Maps thread!
I FUCKING HATE THEM AND HOPE THEY DIE FUCKING CUNTS
LOSERS! at them.
This is not my opinion of Maps as I've never heard them.
and 1) was annoyed as they're one of those bands where the vocals get lost in a SWOOOOOSH of synths 2) they weren't amazingly dynamic ...but I liked the sound of what they did, plus (indie points) I used to roadie for the drummer's fisrt band ages ago, he's a very talented bloke indeed.
i was at the mercury's last night and they fantastic
the people who talked loudly throuugh malcolm middleton's set and made malcolm a sad bunny - what are you on? shut the hell up.
the to photographer to snapped with flash all the way through fanfarlo's set with the flash, more often than not, pointing BEHIND him, ie into the faces of the people trying to enjoy the band - those pics better have been worth it, because it was incredibly annoying for those stood at th front.
other than that and a couple of teething problems, that was fun. the early years rocked my boots off.
i felt so bad for malcolm having to put up with both the idiot talkers and the loud backing music from next door, my mate went to buy him a drink halfway through the set to try and cheer him up but by the time he'd got back Malc had called it quits and left after only 6 (i think) songs :(
the early years and maps were guid though the vocals weren't very clear, that venue is too much like a school hall although I quite like its high stageness.
