What's wrong with me? Am I losing my ability to really appreciate music?!
something will come along that won't leave your stereo. just wait and see. something to reaffirm your faith.
in the pursuit of you might be not spending enough time with things which appeal
to love, its just a dry patch!
damn internet age
purge all the random stuff you've downloaded now!
about this. on the front page i think.
try getting rid of everything (only temporarily) and starting again?
that sounds like a daft experiment. I just mean getting rid of all the stuff you downloaded on a whim and never listen to. Say begone to Peter Brotzmann! Say 'sod off' to all those extra Sun Ra albums! Etc.
it's been almost a full day since it last happened.
and just listen to what you have.
I just let it come to me.
good idea. i like to seek old music, not new music. maybe its time to go back in time?
i'm about 10 years behind it's much easier to pick out the good stuff and appreciate it away from modern day hype and hyperpole
Albums are just a click away, gone are the days of going on a trek to the record store and spending a week with your new purchase.
It's up to you to still have these days...
downloads are a waste of time. i like to hold the record and have all the pretty pictures and i can listen to it when i'm old and batty.
also its nice to look forward to getting an album
except I've still given in to the dark side a little bit... I feel dirty... but I have a lot more albums now!
I use soulseek to taste albums and if I really fall in love with it then I'll buy the record. I do think that using soulseek has kinda taken the romance of hunting down and discovering a record away somewhat though.
I still buy as many records as my finances allow me to, but if I bought everything I ever wanted I'd bankrupt myself 5 times over.
Also the internet is the main place now to actually hear new music as the radio is now failing us.
also, music is rubbish.
