I'd actually quite like to see the Horrors so this should be good. I'm sure they will be a lot more entertaining than any of the bands on the Portishead blokes label.
at the Hove Festival in Norway thinking 'this promises to be a laugh, let's see how shit they really are'.
I, and several others with me were blown away.
They were amazing. The keyboard player is the strangest looking/moving person on earth. I usually hate everything, but they really are that good.
...are a weird choice, but i think if there was any more doom or Bristol bands (bar Gonga, who will almost certainly be announced next update) it would be a bit boring. At least they're different. I will probably dance if there is nothing else on, and i've had enough Westons Cider (or 'Thomas Hardy' ale from Minehead town, which tasted like a dirty pint mixed with syrup).
I wasn't expecting to be impressed when I first saw them, but they were actually really good, and their organist has an extraordinary knowledge of cool music.
Personally Vs the Fans was like a greatest hits of some of my favourite groups, I would have been a fool if I didn't go. I'm not feeling anywhere near that for this one.
The YYY's had possibly the greatest line up of a single day at an ATP I've been to.
The Thurston Moore fest was possibly the best overall ATP line up.
I admit these are all in line with my musical preferences. Plus I don't know shit about some guy from Portishead's record label.
(aside from Shellac and Daniel Johnston), The Yeahs Day was great but the Mudhoney and Devendra days weren't great in the slightest (with the exception of Jana Hunter). The Thurston NBC was amazing, and this has the potential to be as good.
this cant
be real!
for real

oh dear
hehe u think anyone will bother even going to see them? i can imagine not many people being interested at atp
I will
they really aren't THAT bad. Sheena is a parasite is awesome.
yea but im sure there will be something to do or see
at the time that is more appealing than the horrors
SO WHAT?
Good.
They'll be better than bloody Seasick Steve or whatever.
True
Unless they happen to be as boring as he is. I don't know. Would still like to go to ATP though!
Cool

and they will be excellent
i genuinly like their music and them.
Massive
WTF?
I went to see them..

Loser
i can see this being one of the best so far
Not as such, no
But Sunn O))), Earth, Boris, Thurston Moore, Glenn Branca (Twice!!!), Oneida and Om sounds like lots of fun.
yeah
it's a shame that there's only 1 stage and that you have to watch all the bands on that stage.
Indeed
Suggestions to improve ATP:
Air Hockey
Swimming Pool w/wave machine
Maybe some kind of hut for everyone so we don't have to camp on the beach
oh my god the satire
lolz
i won't be seeing them- the only negative is that if the alternative to them would have been worth seeing
they are one of the few nme hype bands that actually seem interesting
probably alot better than other stuff on the bill
They....

Coming off the back of
3 amazing ATPs (Yeah Yeah Yeah's fest, Thurston Moore, Vs the Fans), this one's not looking that great. But it could all change yet...
Those are the ATPs
i've been to, and the line up for this is easily better than Vs The Fans or YYYs...
I don't think so.
Personally Vs the Fans was like a greatest hits of some of my favourite groups, I would have been a fool if I didn't go. I'm not feeling anywhere near that for this one.

Vs the fans is the weakest i've been to

The line up is looking awesome.
But The Horrors are wank. And yes I have sat through one of their live performances.
horrors were fucking great on saturday
The Horrors
are fun live. Lighten up folks.
^ they are
i dont understand why they get hated on so much. i think people are jealous or their hair really...
Or...
the fact that they sound like a shit Birthday Party...
There are many worse bands
to sound like a shit version of though...
