which song
is this? i've not been listening to the radio.
the one that sounds like all the others...
ermm
the first single was genius though and sounded like nothing i've heard for a while
saddens me if they've just reverted back to type
no shit sherlock
only took you 5 years ;-)
yeah totes
Blue Orchid is blates the same song as Hotel Yorba
okay maybe 4 years then
well, i thought this for a long time
but this new one takes the cake

that's the fucker
i like the White Stripes
but you right it is like a million of their other songs
what song does it sound like?
i mean god forbid a band make two songs that are remotely similar!
er no.
that's not what i mean.
what then?
obv a lot of bands have a sound
but they seem to evolve.
the white stripes haven't evolved. their songs are boring and haven't changed since... forever. they use about three chords and one drumbeat and every song sounds the same. just... meh
they are capable of genius
Icky Thump, Blue Orchid, Black Math, Fell In Love With A Girl, Theres No Home For You Here, Ball And Biscuit, The hardest Button to button are all very different songs and all pretty much genius in my eyes, but at the same time yes they do release a lot of stuff which sounds very similar
it just annoys me...
as i'm sure at least Jack is capable of better, but seems to be sticking to a formula. which is boring.
listen to the raconteurs then
less formulaic? yes, better? no.
and the formula works
i love them, and they do realease tyical sounding songs and some different ones.

Not seen a live version of that awesome awesome song before.
Cheers.
it sounds like
there's no home for you here.
the formula is sort of the point though?
I still want Jack to form a metal supergroup
