Admittedly it's only likely to be a 30-40 minute set, but still, I can't wait! Are they good live?
said they were really good live
and they weren't very good.
I saw them at Bush Hall in February this year and they were absolutely brilliant. They must have been playing live loads in between because the difference was incredible.
but they were bloody good! james mercer's voice will blow you away.
bush hall= most underated gig of all of time. It was so special.
It is only in hindsight that i realize this.
They will get so lost on the main stage at reading.
probably because it was in a miniscule room though i reckon
Just played their music really, not much else to say...
in Edinburgh on Thursday. Was Slint last night, Six Organs Of Admittance tonight, Sonic Youth tomorrow night, Shins on Thursday, Dinoaur Jr on Monday then Connect Festival next weekend :)
at Pukkelpop in Belgium last weekend. Unfortunately they were rather quite dull. Most disappointining.
Will give them another chance at Rock en Seine on Friday though
The Shins put in the worst performance of the lot :(
Kasabian were surprisingly good. The Killers too, though I exspect nothing less from them. Seriously, The Shins really didn't suit the crowd. I had people one side of me ridiculing them, people the other side practically driving themselves to orgasm at the sight of them. Me? I just silently mouthed the songs, imagining I was listening to their albums...the electronics just got lost in the mix, and it was all a bit workmanlike....
Still love them to bits though, even if it's just on record.
They did cover all 3 albums too, which surprised me.
Took me a while but I got there.
To be honest they got better the more they played.
i thought they were uiversally likeable!
from what i saw of them at rock city and forum.
