So what is this just Nick/Bens/Others playing Mondo Generator songs or is it a completely new band.

I would go to Nuneaton but it scares me, it smells of death.

Winnebago Deal do rock my shelves off, the loudest band I've ever seen.

Nuneaton's alright Tom, I've done time there in the evening for football games in the past. It's not as bad as you first think!

I actually find it quite funny how it seems to be the usual big cities on the tour plus small Nuneaton, touch random isn't it?

I might go, see if I can drum up support so I'm protected from the chavs.

Nick with Mondo Generator last time was great, but then they had Dave Catching and Brant Bjork from Kyuss in the band and a bassist so he could jump around and into the crowd.

I saw him again at Leeds with a some other guys, he was playing bass and looked depressed. It was crap.

Winnebago Deal have one really good mini album and the rest is crap. I saw them support the kings of irritating macho punk the Dwarves and it was embarrassing. They are loud, but they do not rock and all their songs sound the same. The Dwarves blew them off stage.

          Oh how wrong you are!!!!

I too was at that mean fiddler gig with the Deal supporting the dwarves and the 2 GUYS from Winnebago Deal totally out rocked the Dwarves. Is was SO clearly apparent that W D got a way bigger response from the crowd than the aging dwarves. How can any1 agrue with songs like: MIA, Fix Me, Harold's Dewlaps, Just Crusin, Manhut, Cobra, Shankfight etc etc...yes, the sound at LA2 wasnt that good. but when its all the way up to 11 who cares?!?

Who else can right a proper right on balls out rock tune about Harold Bishop's flapping dewlaps and make it sound like Black Flag on heat?!

I was at the Manchester gig. The sound was great but people were shouting 'go home' at them! Which is uncalled for but still. There were about four people at the front. Then The Dwarves came on and everybody went crazy for the old, fat, sexist bastards.

I enjoyed how Ben talked to the crowd in an American accent though. I wonder if he knows he's doing it...

            Yes Winnebago Deal do rock.
            Yes they do play loudly.
Yes they have some good songs.

But sadly they are a bit of a one trick pony and a lot of their songs, I'm not saying all of them, are very similar. However they were still very enjoyable when I saw them support EMBLD.

^ @ the Astoria in Nov last year?!?!?!?

YEAH MAN!! that gig was one of the best last year! ALL support bands then totally rocked and it good to see more of:
Vatican DC and Queen Andreena doing the rounds these days! Loved the crazy lil presidential bit at the encore with the american dude appologizing for his president and the general shittyness of thier country!

              • Re: *Winnebago Generator* Thats right!!!!

That was funny, if my memory serves correctly it was actually the day of the US presidential election results, and them singer man (I forget his name) cam on and started shouting if we would vote for him and his disaster party. Top stuff.

                • Re: *Winnebago Generator* Thats right!!!!

I was at that Astoria gig too, all the support bands were rubbish, especcially Queen Adreena, Winebago Deal were ok I spose, but I couldn't distinguish one song from the other, and Vatican DC were just meh.

I shall probably go to that Turbonegro/Mondo gig. And the Brant Bjork one...

Vatican DC probably emdodied the word average.
