that were kind of terrible but you're still proud of:
Not my old band..But i swear one of the Best things Alexei ever did do is You are the chords..
id sell my mom and your mom to have seen it live..
who is Alexei?
long time ago before I joined tha' Cats. i hope you enjoy wasting three minutes of your life alcxxk, it gets better nearer the end..marginally.
is this alexei who is in JF now
I was 14 and going through a "copy jonny greenwood" phase. We were all going through our "copy at the drive in" phase. Our singer did have fucking cool hair though: a massive ginger afro. Brilliant.
One song is our second song we ever "wrote", and the other is one we practiced literally twice before it was recorded live at a gig. I had got the obligatory microkorg a week before, and, having never had any keyboard lessons or even owned a keyboard, thought "Hey, it would be a great idea if i improvised around this one scale i worked out" over and over.
So i flicked on the string sound and turned it up too loud.
At what age do you grow out of "copy ___" phases? I can't seem to do anything original. I can feel myself sort of getting out of it, but whenever i try to write something it ends up like a bad version of something else. At the moment im probably on a "copy morrissey" phase.
why is it?
some people on here like secondsmile and won't think they're 'kind of terrible', i assume this thread is more for bands you formed when you were stupid kids!
i was only teasing anyway.
when Catsx3 members were in Clone Of Mel! Needless to say Cats blow them out of the water without any trouble.
i mean the stuff secondsmile did with me in, that was terrible post hardcore compared to their new stuff, which is far better.
Although, I am not incredibly ashamed about any of these..
I did about 12 songs in 2 days so when you think about it, they're actually pretty good
I was rubbish though and they got considerably better once I was replaced
to be in a band with Matt of "programmed this here website" fame. Don't think there's any recordings online though.
And also this band who are still going, but with a drummer who is significantly better than I was (and a girl drummer at that, which can surely only be a good thing.)
apparetnly were going to be in super super...we dont deserve that! we were a joke on our friends to see if people ever check the bands that add them.
of ginny arnell and namalee n the namazonz. you havent heard our original stuff lol
i was responsible. we had to steal some of the original though. salad cream was one we did ourselves. we had salad and we recorded it on the spot!
