Please note that SMALLTOWN AMERICA ALL DAYER #4 at London 93 Feet East has been cancelled.
surely not. This is one of the best days out of the year.
where did you hear that?
telling me i'd get a refund
um, it's true, yes. but it shouldn't have become public knowledge just yet. this is baaaaaaaaad,
what am i going to do with myself that day now???
as they're having a pirate night. that way you can spend the day hungover.
post Ireland rugby watching
always one of my favourite days of the year
i was coing to that :'-(
what went wrong?
will say something about this later. this information has come out in public at a bad time as i'm at work and can't tell any of the bands until i get home, so you'll all appreciate why it wouldn't be proper of me to say anything here until afterwards. x
did it kill some band members or something?
and our oppenheimer gig in october you had yourself as going to has been cancelled too cos they're being whisked off to america with they might be giants.
dang. i want to hear their new stuff..
i have my double SADFACE on right now
a bit fucking shit.
can you spill the beans yet?
basically, we didn't have a headliner. we'd put offers out to several bands (of a considerable amount) and we received no response from any of them.
and rather than put on an event that we didn't feel represented as good a value for money as last year's was, as well as risking having an event that was less successful both in terms of numbers and money raised, we've decided to cancel it and take stock, and prepare and even bigger and better event for next year.
i'd like to thank all the people who would've come, chris budget for his incredible artwork and all the bands who we booked and who were willing to play for cost. it means a lot.
we'll be back, oh yes. x
gutted. I can understand why its been done but I thought it was looking like a rather tasty lineup :(
one later in the year maybe?
we also have big plans for next year. BIG plans.
well, i do, and i intend to get my own way ;o)
Stinkerton you know, can't get a much better headliner than that?
on next year's wishlist.
