I told you they were gonna be big!
Now there is another one of it. (Which is a bit of a shame, actually, as their demos were quite interesting in a garagey, eventually-they-might-well-produce-something-really-good way, but Mercury Records calls)
for whats going to be a pretty big band for oooo years.
i like 'em for that alone!
Though, they've signed a worryingly large deal.
how with not a lot of gigs and until recently only Young & Lost support they're getting a small mountain of press and hype, A&R chase, Zane Lowe playing their demo, headlining over the likes of the Twilight Sad etc. I wonder if The Industry is throwing its lot in with a London band* having seen the most recent lot of successful skinny boys with guitars come from Leeds, Dundee, Coventry and so on.
(* Despite, as far as I can tell, most of them being from Brighton, which surely isn't the right way round)
was in Peep Show and was drummer for the Pipettes so he's already got quite a following I think. It is impressive that they have achieved so much but have played hardly any gigs!
Plus Bummer the drummer has a nice line in tab collar shirts, so he's my favourite.
