Looking forward to their album "Elegies to Lessons Learnt" I am!
can't wait !
the cornet player is supposed to be making a film to go with it, so i heard a month or 2 ago? i might well be wrong
ash (the cornet player) dropped all the slides from their slide show on the floor and ruined the visuals of their set. legend.
that just makes him clumsy, as opposed to a legend?
That said, bought the Progress Reform EP on a whim the other day... it's damn fine.
Hope to catch them on tour.
Really starting to like them (I s'pose I didn't give them a proper go first time round). Terra Nova is fantastic.
some song variation in it though would make it classic. Do that on the album plzzz.
they have 3 minute pop songs amongst the Spencer Perceval stuff then it'll be special.
it would be editors, then it would be dreadful
cos its going to feature "3:40 pop songs". Personally i can't wait to hear iLiKETRAiNS go pop.
not only is Spencer Perceval the longest track on it, but three of the eleven songs are shorter than 3:30.
a lot whilst I was writing my dissertation, on the creation of the train system in the early 19th century. Towards the end of it I accredited the quote "The current manhandling of the finances of the steam train system...is driving a stake straight through the heart of this green and pleasant land" to G. Bannister, Leaflet Regarding the Progress and Reform Of Steam Technology With Particular Regard To Northern England, 1836.
It wasn't picked up.
the G. Bannister in questoin is Mr Guy Bannister, guitarist/kayboardist/backingvocalist of the TRAiNS, or is that some kind of bizarre coincidence?
I made the whole thing up just to see how stringently dissertation markers check sources. Clearly, not very is the answer.
"The Yorkshire region, at the time considered a less propserous area, saw the strongest feelings stirred up by the Beeching Axe. David Martin, National Union of Railwaymen spokesman for the region, delivered a petition with 6,000 signatories to the Prime Minister stating that "Mr Beeching's reforms are taking apart what we made with our hands and our hearts."
i love them all

They sure don't like deviating from their template. A real wrist slasher.
