the intro to their new song... could it be any more annoying if it tried?
sum up what Indie is at the moment. They're like the 4th generation of Libertines knock-offs.
I think of Leeds Festival and 'indie kids' when I hear them, which isn't good.
I heard one of their songs about 2 years ago, and thought it was ace. 'I'm Always Right' I think it was.
I've come a long, long way since then.
i liked that song too. such is my shame...werent it on dttr???
i really am losing faith in 'indie'
I saw them about 18 months ago and thought they had one pretty cool song, but the rest of it was just binman-indie by numbers. I couldn't believe it when I saw that their album went top five.
hardly deserving of that kind of success. apparently they are quite sexist too!
goes out with a friend of a friend.
He's alright, I hear.
I really can't remember them getting a lot of NME hype or the sort of attention people like The Enemy have had, and suddenly they're a top five act.
STEVE LAMACQ STEVE LAMACQ STEVE LAMACQ STEVE LAMACQ.
First few times I heard it, I thought it was another Leeds-based band. Seems I was wrong, very wrong.
I've never actually heard them.
so dreadful. They're bad to the point that even they can't think they're any good. Or if they do, realise how completely disposable they are. To not fathom these things would make them the least self aware act on earth.
