that is all.
BUT: too many syllables.
I shall tell him this, later.
or is this thread a thinly-disguised boast about meeting Eugene McGuiness later?
Personally I stopped name-dropping a while back 'cos Sting told me it looked crass.
I was talking to my best friend teh klaxons about this the other day.
not into this
but i agree with the syllables bit. so many songwriters at the moment seem to think that spitting out as many words as possible in every line, full of witty asides and unexpected puns+references is better than picking the right words and making them count. i think he is one of them, tho by no way the worst offender. seems like a nice guy tho.
that Genius is more syllables than Guinness, so the pune on his name doesn't work when said out loud.
but whatever :P
but my point still stands. maybe it was some sort of freudian slip on mike's part and his subconcious mind secretly agrees...aaaah
Ask him to reply to my e-mail. Thanks x
He was non-plussed.
or is this thread a thinly-disguised boast about meeting Eugene McGuinness in general?
Personally I stopped name-dropping a whle back 'cos Elton John told me it looked crass.
I mean really, it's not like meeting some massive celebrity is it?
I used to work with Sean Adams!
You're jealous of my namedropping.
we came out of the same vagina!
Eugene McGuinness is very good, by the way.
The closest I can come to a Eugene McGuiness story is that I got played by Huw Stephens once when Eugene McGuineess was the guy in session. Obviously I didn't meet him though.
Without a better Eugene McGuiness story I fear my life is incomplete :(
I got a myspace comment from him, the other day.
Still good mini album hope it does well.
I told him his record was fantastic.
And wee'ed next to him.
I didn't talk while doing so.
That'd have been odd.
he started talking to me whilst pissing.
In fact I had conversations with him while pissing on two separate occasions before actually being introduced to him properly.
you've always been a shining example to us all!
i really like eugene mcguinness - seen him play a couple of times now. thing is as much as i enjoy his one-man and a guitar set-up, i'd love it even more if he had a band. seems a shame that the recordings are so lush and he can't replicate this live
for new live dates.
is EXCITING! thanks for the info
hope you didn't wee whilst he was playing
He was amazing.
