I bought there second EP but they sent me a blank disk by mistake so I got a promo copy of the first cd for free! I've been listening to the first one loads... It's ace, haven't really got round to the second one yet, is it as good?
Thank you for recommending them in the past.
Promise and the monster or This is pop.
and Promise and the monster is a bit dark folk by number but I like her !
Second Sleeping Years EP is maybe just a little less great than the first !
Or maybe I haven't listen to it enough yet !
all good though
Intermission To Saturn

Breathe Owl Breathe
(Kinda Smog-like, but no songs from their cool new album are on their myspace)
(Danish greatness. Listen to 'Polaroids first')
Wet Nose Hero
(Lovely female singer. Joanna Newsom-esque? Probably not, but nice distinctive voice. I've ordered her cd directly from her for a pittance of a price, so am looking forward to that.)
The Young Republic

Denmark and Norway are where it's happening at the moment...
deserve I listen a bit more tomorrow...

that Their Hearts Were Full Of Spring single...
4 or 5 magicians
Stab The Matador
(The Rapture-lite, but better in my opinion)
That Blasted Hound

(Think if The Blow did field recordings and less indie r&b)
gentle friendly - organs, loops, skip drums etc, awesome
buttonhead - peckham's deerhoof, or so spake plan b mag
apatt - experimental leeds collective with such a variety in their sound that i can't describe them, you gotta see em live

New bands? good question as I think theres some cracking bands out there at the mo. Some that have really floated my boat when I've seen them live recently / downloaded their tracks include:
All quite different but all really good. Check them out - and if you like my recomendations send me some of your own as we probably hav the same tastes!!!!
if that's the American Guster, then I'm sure they've been around for about 10+ years. If there's a new band called Guster, then they need a new name.
NO really. Kolla Trentmoeller is not new!! :P
Not sure 'I'm cool' enough but here's mine:
Bombay Bicycle Club are about 12 but I really like them

Please fuck off with your ENDLESS 'everyone listen to Napoleon IIIrd' boredom.
No-one gives a toss, and the fact you're constantly shoving him down our throats probably puts people off even more.
try him wrighty.
dont know how to make nice links so:
boys of brazil
and i cant remember the rest adn i have terrible taste so that was a pointless excersise
Not for me. Can't remember the tune, but I can remember he's one of those singers who is intentionally not good at singing.
I love how his album advert has a quote from Drowned in Sound on it though, like they're ever going to give an unbiased view of one of their lapdog's records.
TMart and the Raiders
Grockle's missus (Mary? Mary someone I think)
David Cronenbergs Wife
