Who went last night? I'm going on Saturday and it sounds like the best show... ever... from what I've read.
BBC news this morning and it sounds as if it was a big hit...all the fans had loads to say about it, but apparantly, people walked out before the encore, because they didn't realise he would come back out and sing a few classics.
Also interested from anyone who went to know what you have to do to pick up your CD...
as you get your ticket scanned when you go in.
theres a really good review on the gaurdian site about him gettin his saxaphone player to play solos to pretty ladies
if anyone is interested?
Anyone know if you can take cameras in there?
*crosses fingers for Saturday*
and it was terrific. He did four encores, I think. After the third, he went off and all the lights came up, then lots of people headed for the exit and about five minutes later he came out in the crowd, surrounded by bodyguards and got back on stage and played Little Red Corvette and Raspberry Beret with just him on guitar. It was sensational.
what time did it start/finish too?
about 8.35 and it finished around 10.50, I think.
He played a fair few of the hits and a few tracks that I didn't know. I'm guessing they're off the last two albums.
I was considering getting that 10x zoom Panasonic compact camera and would have got it in time for the gig if they'd been allowed in.
but it says no photography. I'm not sure if security were confiscating them on entry.
get in with a camera, if you don't have a bag you can just march straight inside.
I am so happy this morning. The set last night was incredible. I might get a ticket for another date.
he did say he has rehearsed 300 songs for these shows so no set will be different, as long as i dont go the night he plays one his 2 hour long progressive jazz/funk pieces.
and his guitar solo was immense. I had great seats, so I couldn't really complain about the view. The stage setup was good too, so I just assumed everyone would be able to see. You can't really complain about him opening with Purple Rain though as he has about a dozen great set closers.
dont think there particulary good tho
d'ya sit ?
i'm going to decide what day to go on, depending on what the seats are like
'Girls & Boys'/'DMSR'
'U Got The Look'
'I Feel for You'
'What A Wonderful World'
'Somewhere Here On Earth'
'If I Was Your Girlfriend'
'The One U Wanna C'
'Take Me With U'
'Crazy'/'One Nation Under A Groove'
'Nothing Compares 2 U'
'Let's Go Crazy'
'Little Red Corvette'
'Sometimes It Snows in April'
'A Love Bizarre'/ 'Le Freak'
I thought Killa Kela was supporting? His website says he is.
said that there were meant to be two support acts. However, I only got inside just before Prince came on. And I don't trust AQA anymore..
I have the option of going... i'm tempted!!!!
at the dome.
with wendy & lisa, dr fink and bobby z.
tonight before the 02
was thrilled to hear he had Maceo Parker in his band, gives him some old school grounding in what he's doing
was awesome last night.
