you don't lie.
best album i've heard in that vein this year though is "As My Guitar Violently Bleeds" by Sir Richard Bishop from the Sun City Girls.
tis an artist I whack on to help relax me and make me smile.

it's on the "Transpennine Express" tube line. Come on down (up).

Does anyone want to come and see Ashtray Navigations in Newcastle? Ah go on.
the legendary-free-noise-group A Band?
Only their second gig since '94 or whatever
where and when is this?
that'll be one of those 'i was there' moments for some geeks. like me.
do you know where that is? I've not been before. Sunday 19th. I didn't realise A Band were playing until earlier and I'm majorly excited. Should be immense.
sweet. It's on Commercial Street btw (I think!)
actual literal bells
Just found out he's playing Brudenell tonight... :( :(
might go and see him in sheffield on friday night. but i think there are far more interesting fahey-worshippers out there at the moment, like the aforementioned richard bishop, glenn jones, jack rose
It's really nice that we have an English guitarist of that quality, it means I can see it live more often.
I love Fahey influenced solo guitar, Jack Rose, Sir Richard Bishop, Steffan Basho-Junghans et cetera are all amazing and very different.
