Or have the tickets just been taken off pre-sale? Or maybe they were never there...
no advance tickets - i was wondering the same thing and asked gen.
I was fairly sure I'd seen a link a few weeks back but hadn't bought any. Clearly I was going mad.
Support band, They Don't Sleep, are top bollocks too :D
It may well be TDS's last-ever gig, too...
I might have been told.
"Getting people together from Brighton, Tun Wells and London is proving impossible so we're going to be on hold at least after this gig."
...just turned down tickets to Pharoahe Monch for it... I AM THAT EXCITED.
someone ring me when they play that "ARMS! LEGS! HEADS! ARMS! LEGS! HEADS! ARMS! LEGS! AND HEADS! AND HEADS!" song?
Can you not buy a ticket to the Optimist Club and then rock up later, maybe?
Who's playing the Good Ship?
(I can't spell.)
Good band. We played with them at the Badge 'o Friendship all dayer last week. Nice lads.
on Tessellators myspace are really good!
Their new record sounds like James Blunt.
surgery or the bomb: great.
only saw Optimist Club once, but thought they were an amazing live band. Really sad that they are splitting up, presume it is because of their drummer problem?
Also, as far as I'm aware, this is there only 'farewell show', and it hasn't been massively and cynically hyped and sold in that way at all. Seems like it's just a chance for fans to see them play these songs for one last time.
I'll say it again - you're talking shit.
Forgive me if I don't quite see how that's of cataclysmic relevance to anything at all. You're obviously blessed with a superior intellect.
fucks sake, you should've known that.
not because of your strange view of Optimist Club, but because you're post doesn't make sense and you have used 'their' and 'too' in a comically incorrect way.
What a random.
You seem to have confused my post's title entirely, which was to question whether or not it was going to be worth making the trek up to the Luminaire to see the show, not to somehow suggest how great they must be because they'd possibly sold out the venue.
Anyway, as that wilful misinterpretation may be part of your random trolling I'll leave it there. I happen to think they're a great band. Sorry you don't.
I used to live there and have some rather unpleasant memories but it's one of my favourite venues and tomorrow night is going to be REALLY great. I think i'll just put my blinkers on and run from tube to the venue. Come Theo! T'will be a merry night of merriment :)
I just didn't want to bother only to be told I'd missed a massive pre-sale online :D
in Kilburn too!
better than neasden though.
i think he went to japan or something?
