Lost in Translation

The Draughtsman's Contract
Once Upon A Time In The West
The Wicker Man
Both is good

and downloaded the goodfellas soundtrack. There was about 40 odd tracks on it and pretty much everyone on them was awesome.
Also my vote goes to Amelie for score and Pulp Fiction for soundtrack.
Wicker Man is the only thing I've seen so far that comes close.
None of these are from the golden age of surprisingly funky soundtracks, these are mostly just a bunch of known songs cobbled together to save filmakers from defining the mood themselves
Without a doubt:
- The Imperial March
- The Asteroid Field
I have about 110 minutes of music from it and it's all gold.
Pi - best film soundtrack, and a cracking film to boot.
What can possibly be wrong with a soundtrack that includes Orbital, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Roni Size and Massive Attack.
Also 'Blade II' had a great soundtrack - it was all collaborations between dance and hip-hop stars - had things like Mos Def with Massive Attack, Cypress Hill with Roni Size, Ice Cube with Paul Oakenfold, and it even featured Bubba Sparxxx!
Goodbye Lenin > Amelie in terms of Yann Tiersen
Lost in Translation (still a shit film)
This is England is brilliant too
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
If Dare isn't on there too I'm seriously going to lose my shit.
But I will give it a fucking good try.
On Her Majestys Secret service by John Barry.
yes yes yes yes yes
my favourite film ever. god bless you for knowing of it.
la Reine Margot also is worthy of honourable mention.
as are the Royal Tenenbaums and Battle Royale.
best soundtrack ever.
is quite good. Some Elliott Smith, bit of The Polyphonic Spree.
Also The Motorcycle Diaries
this man speaks the truth.
about a boy (if only for silent sigh)
sonatine (or any joe hisaishi stuff)
The Blues Brothers
Enter The Dragon?
Collins rips it up. Fuck anyone that disagrees.
I mean it.
Also the sound quality on the Kill Bill vol.1 soundtrack is excellent.
others i too i expect
they hooked up Werner Herzog with. I like Aguirre best.
And any of that Lalo Schrifin genius, along with some prime Ennio Morricone business like The Good, The Bad & The Ugly has.
Solaris and Traffic- both Cliff Martinez
Ennio Morricone's work with Sergio Leone
Road to perdition
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover in terms of Michael Nyman!
dawn of the dead
all day good
but Romeo & Juliet and Moulin Rouge are both great.
Seconded on Pulp Fiction and O Brother..., both brilliant.
Michael Nyman + Damon Albarn (+ Cannibals) = Legendary.
