i'm just listening to it again
it's still really good and still sounds like a better version of a radihead album
kinda personality-less i think. also, unintended is horrendous.
Love Muse but was a bit surprised when Unintended was resurrected for the Wembley gigs...
Is a shite album that came after a very good EP. If more songs like 'Coma' made it, rather than borefests like Escape/Filip/Overdue/Hate This And I'll Love You etc, it could've been brilliant.
Good job they followed it up with one of my top 3 albums off all time. BOOYER.
the thing with muse is that bellemy's lyrics are so hamstrung and tryharder that it takes away any chance of any kind of emotional connection for me. which is why i prefer them when they do demented space rock.
i just think unintended is really simpering and phoney, i guess.
everyone at the time knew it too
HELL NO NOT UNINTENDED!
Straight after i sent the same message to 8 people, i went to get a beer as did many other people.
did I! Don't listen to them. We know the truth.
meaning it's just OK...
I just can't listen to a whole Muse album, Matt's voice starts to really grate after a few songs.
it lasted 3/4 way through
back to reuben
"Hate This & I'll Love You"? booo!
that if you miss out Unintended, it's easier to make it to the end. Which is worth making it to, seeing as the best songs lurk there...
I've really fallen back in love with this album. Hate This And I'll Love You = <3
I absolutely fucking love this album, and it actually changed my life (drama!!), in that it made me pick up a guitar and play it in an entirely different way (read: something other than power chords). been playing like that in bands ever since.
thank you showbiz!
Has one good song on it as I recall.
I just heard a Muse song now though I sorta liked... kinda a electro-heavy beat with a high pitched "oouuu, I'm a fool" ..or something like that.
But my friend hyped this album all up and I bought it and I was like, "where's the beef?" Oh, but it doesn't remind me of Radiohead all that much if that makes Muse lovers feel better.
