anyone who missed this is quite clearly an idiot
Did they play Downpour?
How were Rise & Fall?
CAN NOT WAIT!!!
is thaat date at the fez? i was in there on saturday night, it was fun!
i'm well excited
or 2 ago in manchester rock world and i was really dissapointed, not only did planes mistaken for stars pull out at the last minute but converge just bored the hell outta me, it jus sounded like sum doom metal band and was extremley tedious. i liek them on cd but live it wasnt v good. me and my gf went to a pub over the road after about 45 mins we couldnt take any more!!
At the Astoria. No PMFS, but Modern Life Is War were good fun, and Converge themselves were great. Also William Elliott Whitmore played support, and he is the best thing ever.
it was pretty good. Seeing them at Kingston, looking forward to it.
Or at least, was The Saddest Day played?
after they finished with concubine loads of people were chanting for saddest day so they came back onstage and said we could only get one more song if it wasn't the saddest day. i didn't recognise the song they played instead - slow heavier relatively melodic in a bleak sort of way - but it was very good.
the set seemed to have quite a lot of newer stuff in it but it was hard to keep track of them
Grim Heart/Black Rose or You Fail Me maybe. I'd go just for Concubine anyways :D
and you missed some excellent hardcore speeches from the bands
"this one is about saying two things to the world 'fuck' and 'you'"
It's not Metallica though is it :(
didn't think anything of the supports, but at least the smoking ban makes it easier to talk to people outside...
Converge were awesome, would have liked one of the melodic songs, but other than theat, i loved it
Did they play Jane Doe?
it was fucking unbeleiveable!
Get the fuck in!
My excitement for tonight just rose at least 10x!
There's 6 bands on the bill tonight. Why?!
I'm going to watch Die Hard 4.0 beforehand instead.
I knew there was at least 4!
Who are the other 2?
This is on the Say It To My Face site:
Converge - From Boston USA. Chaotic metallic hardcore
108 - Chuggy hardcore from the USA
Animosity - On tour with Converge, on black market activities
Rise and Fall - Integrity inspired metal from Belgium on Reflections records
Final Fight - On tour with 108, from the USA on Deathwish records
We are Carnivores - From the south, on tour with Converge
I'm not really in the mood for watching 5 bands that sound like Converge, but less good, then watching Converge. Although Animosity are meant to be good, though I've never heard any of their stuff.
the musicians showing off how great they are at playing their instruments.
their set involved a lot of noise. i left halfway through to go and have a cig and ended up chatting to xmas lights' bass player, which was entirely more interesting
you won't regret it!
Ok, I will do this. Someone told me that Rise & Fall are pony too.
Can anyone confirm/refute this?
I'm having to set off in literaally 10 minutes for tonight.
Ive heard good things about rise and fall before this tour but heard lots of negative stuff about them from this tourso who knows.
if you like tough guy hardcore. They weren't my sort of thing really.
Converge on the other hand, just wow. Very special indeed. We got Fault and Fracture, Locust Reign, Conduit and Downpour :D
I think I scared Jake awfterwards though, called him a God. I'm such a scary fan.
Ah. Well I don't like tough guy hardcore, so I dont think I'll bother with them. Ta for the info. Is their new DVD out yet?
