>>>>> bright eyes last night, arienette and A SONG TO PASS THE TIM!!! :D
he was good then
definitely the best out of the two shows, fo sho.
I agreed with that statement.
oh well. win some, lose some
info on the set list? im off to see him tomorow in birmingham :D
the whole of fevers and mirrors and then said he would never do any old stuff ever again.
we're bad people.
wasn't 'waste of paint' excellent? I would have HATED to miss last night.
hot knives (second)
if the brakeman turns my way
soul singer in a session band
no one would riot for less
first day of my life
the calender hung itself
i believe in symmetry
gold mine gutted
a song to pass the time
at the bottom of everything
and maybe some more i'm forgetting.
the calender hung itself last night??
I loved Bright Eyes at Glasto, even though I had 2 17 year old pricks behind me talking bollocks about Conor's guiatr in really whiny "I'm 17, know everything and make sarcastic comments about everything I hear" voices. For instance, at the end they said to their friends "That was rubbish, there were like 8 songs that he didn't play!"
i think you walked past me at the end, but i wasn't sure so didn't say hello.
i was wielding a big umbrella...
i could barely see the stage most of the time but thought the sound was better last night.
i don't know why everyone's so down on digital ash, i was chuffed to hear 'gold mine gutted'.
he was brilliant last night! I Believe in Symmetry was superb, and it was lovely to hear Arientette again
setlist was: (i'm at bit sketchy on the order of some of the Cassadaga songs in the middle)
First Day of my Life
The Calender Hung Itself
No one would riot for less
I Believe in Symmetry
Gold Mine Gutted
A Song to Pass the Time
At the Bottom of Everything
a song to pass the time from?
why was last night better than the first night?
arienette and a song to pass the time but also because he played false advertising other than that it was actually the same
he didn't play make a plan to love me :p
i was so happy he changed his mind from playing southern state again to a song to pass the time <3
i said the exact same thing about make a plan to love me to oglerich last night ;)
where as middleman I could do without which is weird because it was my favourite cassadaga track at first
when he stopped southern state cos i love it, and wasnt there the first night however, song to pass the time is class so nevermind aye. gold mine gutted was tasty.
now...who was the bassist and where was bellows?
jake in the air as we speak, meeting him in birmingham tomorrow, we going the show, but he aint playing with them
the bassist was andy lemasters
Mmm, pretty sure it was Andy LeMaster on bass - thought he did really well, especially his dub-style bassline on 'Middleman'. I thought the set was really, really good, definitely the most professional Bright Eyes performance I've ever seen (which I guess should be no surprise...). Didn't get me into the 'Cassadaga' stuff any more than I already am, though. Pleasantly surprised to hear so much 'Fevers And Mirrors' stuff. Loved the new version of 'First Day Of My Life', too. And 'I Believe In Symmetry' surely has to be one of the best songs in the back catalogue. Lightspeed Champion had a couple of really good numbers in their support set - especially that one called something 'Stay The Fuck Away From Me'. My evening was capped off by bumping into Stephen Merchant on the way out. Knew I'd make a twat out of myself if I spoke to him, though. So I didn't.
