Anyone know who's supporting?
who's a fan. well he's got the album anyway
not a lot. but a bit.
just a little bit.
but a bit all the same.
about time i saw these guys!!!
what time are doors?
6.30 on the ticket
or the gig will be over by about 9pm!
gigs at astoria are early finishes - Kings of Leon was over and done with by 9.30pm. Very odd - but worth finding out if this one is the same as turning up at 9 to see half a set would not be nice!
ive had that happen before. seem to recall turning up at about 9pm for grandaddy to find out they had been onstage since about 8pm or something daft.
happens on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays hence the early finishes.
I'll pop by at lunch and try to get stage times.
to expect them on around 8:30/45
Doors are at 7, not 6:30 as ticket states. 10:15 curfew.
There were already people queuing outside. Nutters.
Is this gig really gonna finish by 9:30?
Jobless people :)
I'd really like to get a nice spot on the balcony, fingers crossed! Does anyone know if there'll be an aftershow anywhere......?
and say Durrrrr
Where tho? Where??
btw, I'm so excited about tonight, can't wait to see what their new songs sound like live. Been listening to their album for some now and it's seriosuly grown on me. Lots. But that's because I'm in love with Interpol.
I wasn't being cheeky. There's a club called Durrr, which I imagine the Interpol bunch may like:
I'm unaware of anything that happens on Monday nights, usually just want to run home and sleep... The End then. I wonder if it's changed since last time I've been there, in 1999 :)
Anyway, thanks, and might see you at the gig tonight!
but overshadowed by stella :D
they've played stella everytime i've seen them! nyc is a rarity - "first time in two years" was it?
I thought Not Even Jail and Pioneer to the Falls were both superb also
but I'm not really a great fan of the song anyway. not even jail was probably the best, along with stella and say hello to the angels.
the sound quality was really good in the venue.
and NYC sounded amazing, as did Stella.
Surprised they did so much old stuff though.
i'm really glad they played so much old stuff although i really wanted to hear who do you think? off the new album.
that song has single written all over it.
was the highlight both times i saw them in 2005.
But pioneer and not even jail last night were the highlights (especially considering they fucked up the latter at Koko in May).
Last night >>>>> Koko.
was still good (bar the sound))
was it last night?
last night, just "sometime in the future" at the moment, as read on the xfm website
nyc, stella, pda. Don't think any other band could place such an amazing run of songs at the set's finale.
Was amazing. But, one gripe, a slight side-issue. When you preorder the album from itunes, you get a free exclusive track. I bloody hate it when that happens. Just put it on the album, or a b-side so everyone can get it. Mnner.
