and i think col war kids are actually alright.
i saw them play a really good show once, but leeds festival and the glasto coverage has finally convinced me that they are now devoid of onstage charisma or ability to play live
I thought The Killers were utter tripe for ages until something just clicked and I realised "Golly, they aren't that bad actually."
cover brought me to tears.
that was shite
but no to the killers for me.
coverage last night hugely depressing, hmmm.
gold suit ? that changed your mind
was he wearing a gold suit? I had to change the channel after a while because it was making me :(
is an amazing pop record and Sams Town has some good tunes on it
they probably KILLED RUDOLPH :(
It took seven Golden Retrievers to make his suit also.
done for animal cruelty for the mistreatment (whipping) of the chimps used in the recording process of their albums
the monkeys with typewriters who come up with the lyrics.
they were so awful at glastonbury, for the portion of songs i saw them play.
the singer cant sing!
Sam's Town was excellent, although their Glastonbury performance was poor at times.
admittedly, but i think theyre pretty good, agreed Sams Town is a good album, just doesnt seem to be that acknowledged.
theyre pretty alright. They actually have proper songs, with different sections, more than 3 chords, and a pretty strong image. I think theyre alright.
I'm not liking the songs I've heard so far from the new one though.
I also find Brandon Flowers hella funny. It may have something to do with the facial hair.
and demands respect.
as I do Dan Brown, reading tabloid newspapers, Paris Hilton and when Princess Diane died. Generally nothing, but slightly alienated from it all. I don't hate them, but I don't like them...it's something that doesn't exist in my world.
Having said that, I do like it when that guy sings HE DOESN'T LOOK A THING LIKE JESUS. But that's it, one line from two album's of material. Nothing else appeals.
about me having TWO copies of the first killers album.
that's not true though. <pause> i have three copies.
the enw stuff soudns wayy too much like Bruce Springsteen for my liking.
Mr Brightside - good song
read my mind - a bit crap.
in summary: YOU HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY ONE VIEW IN THIS WORLD AND IT IS MINE.
a difinite highlight of the weekend imo
third on the bill to Ikara Colt at the ICA, and thinking that they were a damn good little band, with some decent songs.
The problem that they now have is that although they have become elevated to headlining Glasto in about three years flat, they are still essentially small time.
They look uncomfortable on a big stage and they don't have more than about forty five minutes worth of decent material.
Nothing against them, they just seem a bit out of their depth.
Sam's Town is a really good album
