Now it's more like the platonic affection you feel for an old flame
first two albums are ace. The last song on frogstomp...quality.
They have lost the plot a bit recently though.
was up to stream in full on their myspace. some good tracks some a bit rubbarrsh by their standards.
all sounding a bit like Australia's answer to muse if y'ask me (well, a bit).
If You Keep Losing Sleep is a corker.
not even the same band anymore, has anyone actually heard the album 'young modern' its fuckin AWFUL i tell you that much
that they're getting praise for their grunge stuff but cained for writing some songs which are actually quite interesting
more like half arsed pop wank
their most successful attempt at doing something quite out there. Too much of their stuff like that hangs on the orchestration rather than a decent song underneath.
especially recently. some awesome hooks.
across the world?
I mean Across The Night
across the world. shows how creative they are lately i suppose
I haven't heard the new one. I probably won't either TBH
not as much as I used to, but I still give them a spin every now and then. Still LOVE Israel's Son. Also, I met Natalie Umbruglia at their show a few years ago, good times!
why don't they have any kids? why does she live here? is it because Aussies are mighty intolerant of the gays? has he 'married' natalie so that he can carry on making this wondrous music? WHO CAN SAY??
all I know is he's a very lucky man.
They were ace!
I have Israels Son & Tomorrow on my iPod. Might listen to them now.
It all when wrong when Sally in Home & Away declared them to be 'hot'
now i just love the fact that they included the line "demolish the monkey" in a song
they are really good! loved the album.
two albums have great memories! seeing them in 97 was one of the best gigs i have ever been to!
i saw them o ntheir first uk tour :) and then again couple of years later bout 97 or 98
I don't love them, but definitely like them
and it sounds like Pearl Jams worst songs. Meh.
finally someone else says Pearl Jam
a bit of Metallica as well?
is, to my mind, a firm contender for the grand title of Most Cringeworthy Song Ever.
people praise the first 2 albums more is probably because we were 14/15 then. Then when they started writing more interesting songs everyone realised there is more interesting music out there!
the memories :p
having no money as a kid and there being no internet downloads/myspace etc i listened to those albums every day...and with a handfull of other albums will stick with me
you should have discovered home taping
it destroyed music
