should be getting more conversation... it was probably the best live dance act i've ever seen. visually stunning
thanks for the youtube clips. Actually i haven't watched them yet, they could be rubbish.
i got a little shiver when aerodynamic came on.
I want to see the encore, when their helmets were outlined in red. I don't think i've ever been so excited by lighting.
oh god it was so good.
and the crowd were amazing! such a great atmosphere
the second best gig of my life.
I can officially die happy. There were 2 acts I wanted to see before I die.
One was DP, the other is Prince, who I'm seeing later in the year.
I hope I don't die between now and then. I'll be annoyed.
who was the first?
I'd waited 4 years to get the opportunity to see them live.
I don't think I've ever been happier at a gig.
i've seen them live tiwce and i was underwhelmed both times.
i think it was because i stupidly decided to be in standing when my parents bought me and my lil sister tickets to see them while we were in las vegas. i didnt want the babe to get crushed (she was smaller then) and i've regretted it ever since :(
were not great. we were front left and it was full of cunts.
keep this attitude up so I stop being jealous.
in hindsight i wish i had been about 20ft back right smack bang in the middle
my flatmate fucked off back there and had a wonderful time, me on the other hand ended up pouring my pint over some bindt and almost getting in a fight. So much for people on drugs being all "loved up" more like "cruisin' for a bruisin'"
i just watched the youtubes
(i was busy when i first clicked this)
i got shivers and i couldn't stop grinning. look at that crowd! i half expected to see myself bopping up and down.
you saw several shots of keira knightley looking bored. CHEER UP KEIRA, IT'S DAFT FUCKING PUNK!
"im not drUnk yet"
"DAFT MOTHER FUCKING PUNK!"
looking confused for about a second
I really should have made the effort to get down there! So So GOOD! Any ideas when they'll be touring again?
So good. I was a bit worried when LCD Soundsystem had a bit of a mixed bag (short set, problems with the levels), but wow, definitely the best gig of that size I have ever seen.
It was really good but I wasn't blown over as I'd hoped to be. Hmm.
at wireless on saturday...they were the saving grace of an otherwise horrendous day.
i didnt know they played in leeds too!
i would have gone :( :( :(
It's SUCH A SHIT SONG.. ARRGH.. And this is coming from a Daft Punk fan!
I wish they would go back to their pioneering days of HOMEWORK and produce something MEGA PHATT that would just be entirely filthy and... argh.. you know.
Go to Sonar if you want amazing visuals and incredible dance acts... Magnifique.
Not a Daft Punk song? Are you sure? I know its got Romanthony plastered all over it, but c'mon...
it was by a daft punk side-project, stardust.
its the first track on discovery and has nothing to do with stardust.
thomas from daft punk was in stardust.
But when they played it we all went mental and it was SO GOOD.
I love everything Daft Punk have ever done now. They are GENIUS
even though i was really tired and the super tall guy in front of me kept smushing his sweaty shoulders into my face.
i've not seen daft punk before, and i was really impressed with the way they mixed everything together, brought some things back, and the lights...wow..!!
cheers for the videos, made me all smiley again
10mins worth - not good quality but you get the idea
one - slightly shorter part of the encore but better quality. note i nearly pissed myself at 2.38m
what was that that that guy shouted out at 2.38?
it must be one of the best feelings in the world to hear people going crazy as every new bit kicks in and to see the crowd just jumping up and down relentlessly for an hour and a half!
actually become ANNOYED at it being over!!
"AAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAZING" - sounds so high!!!
they were amazing. i didn't think it had no soul - they loved it themselves, you could see them headbanging along, clapping, putting their fists in the air.... it was awesome :)
there were loads of people who if you asked what their favourite daft punk song was they would reply 'digital love'... but everyone was swept up with that incredible set! i've seen lots of amazing live dance sets and that probably tops them all for a total experience...
