I can't work out whether this is a joke or not:

weren't people saying this about Radiohead a bit back??
I think you mean Kool
and the gang
meh
it's not like their 'proper' albums shift millions, and there are two new SYR releases coming up that need funding. so, yunno, who cares?
sorry, I should clarify
I'm not objecting to it simply on the grounds that this is a sell-out to a corporation or something. I am, however:
i) surprised, as it seems somewhat out of character for SY
ii) a bit worried, given that Starbucks (and coffee chains in general - Starbucks isn't notably worse than many of the others) aren't just *any* big company - there are serious ethical problems with the mass market coffee trade:

true
but then again, they've been involved with universal for nearly 20 years now, and i can't imagine they're squeaky clean..
It's odd
I don't normally give much thought to the whole "sell out" argument, but when I saw this http://assets4.pitchforkmedia.com/images/image/32178.x-news-sonicyouthnstarbucks.jpg?
I was a bit uneasy, and then you read the article and you realise it was just a convenient angle for Pitchfork to publicize the new Thurston interview.
