buddy rich was the man
i've ever played with bones buddy rich
fair enough, he's awesome
is reet fast too.
guy from snow patrol
- the one or two times our lives actually intersected via music! - he would always say, "Yeah but he's not as good as Buddy Rich."
oR: "You got me there, dad." :)
and bruces arms were moving so quickly they became invisible like hummingbirds wings
(youll love the first jordan)
is that dave on drums? bad quality lighting. can you ask him if he wants to be part of the damo suzuki improv group in notts? aint got back to me on myspace
its patrick farmer. :p. I play drums better than dave.
Shits on everything.
something i don't really get: is playing underhand generally a better, more flexible way of drumming?
I suspect it's more a historical thing - once upon a time drummers used to be in marching bands, with the drum (unless it was a bass drum) hanging down one side of them, and tilted slightly forward. Playing underhand makes more sense in that situation.
was the vid i meant to put up
Matt from the band Instruments for sure!
in the home of the fastest drummer in the world Jordan...
Drummed with Dave Brubeck, goddamn drum genius!
thats the first time iv seen him, n he gets well involved. Quality.
Someones commented sayin it sucks, whatta douchebag!
drum kit is insane in the 1st two vids but he seems to handle it pretty well ;)
was fucking incredible. The first one is possibly the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Knew I'd heard the name before.
You'll also probably recognise him from the video of him doing a solo aged 11 - that's been floating around for at least five years.
He's also mates with this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOWpZ0sKwo8
After he joined the Mars Volta I showed my bro that video of him play Wax Simulacra on (insert US Chat Show here) and he literally spent days going through all the videos on Gospel Chops. Some awesome stuff on there.
hes a machine.
you NEED to check out finnish Kai Hahto, from the band Rotten Sound.
yes, we all bum buddy rich.
however, his technique and rolls etc are just perfect.
literally perfect technique.
however, chris pennie, of former DEP fame, and now of god awful Coheed and Cambria fame, is one of my favourites.
although am not a drummer so can't really judge.
ex of Charlottefield.
Fast Fast Fast but with amazing rhythms that are almost melodic!
Great beard too! God/Devil bless Ashley!
Why is everybody forgetting the octopus that is Damon Che? He's a shithead, but Don Caballero in their heyday were ridiculous. He may not be Buddy Rich, but Jesus.
He's amazingly good
Anyone? No one is mentioning actually fast drummers? Frost from Satyricon / 1349 etc.... Unbelievably fast and tight.
definitively. he's so stylish, there's not too much playing, just elegant, moody hammering. groovy stiffness, and if he has anything to say about how he's drums should sound, he's pretty spot on there too. Now, Diabolical sounds almost like the 70's.
plus, he looks like a pretty easy going dude.
