I want it my funeral. Thanks.
atmosphere by russ abbott played at mine...
life was easier back then.
I want Bright Eyes played at my funeral - Art G, not C Oberst.
Because it was played when everyone was leaving my Grans funeral and me and my brother were pissing ourselves because we were both thinking "we can see you sneaking out!!"
Ahh. Good times.
there was always a complaint about the masses singing along to "we dont talk about love, we only want to get drunk", whilst holding their pints aloft.
i actually thought that was quite beautiful.
bernard manning's there is a light that never goes out
but sadly I over-played it when I was about 15 and now find it really hard to listen to.
At my funeral I probably want the Flaming Lips' "Do You Realize?", SFA'S "It's Not the End of the World" and Scott Walker's "The Amorous Humphrey Plugg"
i can't help but think of it as "The Amorphous Buttfrey Plug". Its a serious problem
(of Montreal, on The Sunlandic Twins)
The creator of what's now cliché had some funny words to say
"All you little things are incomplete"
Why did he speak of us that way?
I don't cry not 'cause I don't care
It's very hard to feel the way we used to feel up there
The creator of what's now cliché
Wants us little things to cry and feel alone
But don't, don't lose hope
No, don't feel sad 'cause it's a violent world
But there's still beauty
I'll take care of you, if you take care of me
I like to sit and listen to the sound
Of the snowflakes landing on the trees
But I can't get used to feeling cold
I can't get used to what has happened here to you and me
There's no escaping so I won't try
It's just the heaviness that comes with knowing you will never die
I'll have Radiohead - climbing up the walls or EITS - a song for our fathers.
but if I did I'd want Nilsson's "I Said Goodbye To Me" played.
Otherwise when I'm cremated I want Liars, Mr You're On Fire Mr.
