      • im confused

there were about 4 people in metronomy when i saw them?

        dukebox @John_Brainlove | 10 Jun '07, 03:36 | X
        • equivalent of session musicians

on record it is all written/performed by one guy

          darkpigeon @dukebox | 10 Jun '07, 11:48 | X
          • not session musicians

            friends and colleagues
i interviewed them for dazed tv the other day
            they are nice

            John_Brainlove @darkpigeon | 10 Jun '07, 13:20 | X
            • they had flashing lights on their

tshirts, that was quite good, i cant remember much else about them.

              dukebox @John_Brainlove | 10 Jun '07, 13:23 | X
              • I remember the music.

It was mathematical and burrowed into my head.
I remember the performance, it was great.
Anyone beeping geek band with a co-ordinated dance routine wins me over really quite quickly.

                • mmm

i dont remember the coordinated dance routine, there again the stage was quite small, maybe they couldnt do it.

i think ill go and listen to them again now to try and remind myself who they are...

                  dukebox @John_Brainlove | 10 Jun '07, 14:04 | X
                  • They all span round in funny ways at Koko.

                    It was really great.

                    John_Brainlove @dukebox | 10 Jun '07, 18:22 | X
  • I'm going to investigate her on eMusic.

I have stuff by the other three and they are all completely great.

    John_Brainlove @lauraspelledwrong | 10 Jun '07, 12:15 | X
    • Her stuff is amazing

especially "Henrietta". One minor quibble: how does Uffie qualify as a "one man band"? She's totally reliant on amazing production by Mr Oizo and Feadz.

      • Presentation.

        John_Brainlove @jedeteste | 10 Jun '07, 14:51 | X
      • See above.

        John_Brainlove @lauraspelledwrong | 10 Jun '07, 20:22 | X
        • Yeah.

Her poshness is all part of the mix.
She's my favourite "of the moment" underground pop-star...

        • i think everyone knows my opinion of nappyIII

          i hate him

          Jordan_229_2 | 10 Jun '07, 20:07 | X
        • Tracy and the Plastics...

haven't heard that name in ages, have an album from her from several years ago...

          tom_from_sparks | 10 Jun '07, 21:08 | X
          • tracy + the plastics have 'split' now...

...but Wynne's working on a new project - i think, also, alone (but this time with just one persona).

            kicking_k @tom_from_sparks | 11 Jun '07, 02:08 | X
            • yeah

              it's called libber i think

        • i have never properly come across Uffie

until i bothered to look her up tonight.

          she looks really irritating.

          but her music is alright.

          hmm.

          sarkyfox | 11 Jun '07, 04:28 | X
          • She looks irritating?

You are clearly a very straight female indeed.
